Sony VP-5000 - This VTR is a front loading player. It features forward and backwards shuttle buttons which is a feature that the VO-2610 lacks. Since these machines are very basic they lack such feature as audio meters or audio level adjustment knobs.

	This player-only machine is much newer that the top loading model. It is still basic, however. The VP-5000 is not meant for broadcast playback, but rather for viewing tapes.
	Here is the inside of the VTR. The motors in this machine are much smaller so the head drum, capstan roller and each spindle have their own motors which are controlled by electronic circuitry as opposed to the VO-2610 which is mechanical in nature comparing to this machine.
